The future of religious colleges

In this volume scholars and educational leaders from a variety of faith traditions talk candidly about the future of religious colleges at the start of the twenty-first century. Building on competent historical and analytical studies of the past decade, the contributors consider the nature of religious education generally, explore the relationship between religious colleges and their sponsoring churches, probe a number of successful educational models, and examine the influence of public policy on religious colleges. Taken together, these constructive essays demonstrate that religious colleges still have the potential to serve well the missions of their churches and to provide a creative leaven for the advancement of academics in America.
