Description of the journal Pallade Veneta (print, 1687-88; ms continuation incomletely preserved through 1751) and transcription of comments on music and its milieu. Transcriptions in Italian. Commentary in English. The original compiler of Pallade Veneta can be linked to the Inquisition. Continuers appear to have been priests (as were many other compilers of cultural news in Venice).
