Analyzing the persecution and deportation of Jews in Nazi-occupied France and under the Vichy regime, focuses on the activities of the Jewish communal organizations (especially UGIF and OSE) and the Jewish and anti-Nazi organizations involved in resistance, such as CRIF and MOI. The author was one of the leaders of the last two organizations.
