Out of hospital he heads for a career in radio broadcasting that eventually spanned almost forty years. He offers glimpses of the many people he has known, including Whina Cooper, Michael King, Cath Tizard, Kiri Te Kanawa and Kingi Ihaka, and records the events that he has been a part of.
