Wilfred and Ed McDaniel left their family’s California ranch in 1900 and sailed from San Francisco to Nome, Alaska. The brothers joined the gold rush. Their photographs, letters and diaries depicting their lives through 1906 have been carefully preserved by their families. This book is a well- presented compilation of selections from this collection.
